you're using that duramax map right? man I couldnt get mine to work right at all. I saw on your wiki that the pin out is different, tried that and no bueno.

i thought, ok maybe i'll just hit it with 5psi from an airbrush regulator and it went bloop

When I put an almost identical FMIC on my dad's truck, I was pissed because the only way I could route the inlet/outlet piping forced me to put them at the top. I wonder how much difference that really makes in cooling the intake charge.

I think you may be seriously underestimating the power you will make. I saw 350 to the wheels on a mustang dyno at only about 6-7lbs of boost with a non-intercooled side mount whipple. The only mods to the 4.8 were long tube headers and 1.85 rocker arms. A pd blower with no IC is almost a worst case scenario for HP per lb of boost. BTW, if you still have idle issues I can probably find a file from an LQ9 DBW with a baby 67mm turbo and an 02+LS6 cam to compare the DBW portion. I know that is night and day from a 4.8 with a real cam, but there might be something about the DBW that is similar.

So much less BS using a TIG IMO. Cleaner, quieter and looks 10X better. To each his own though.

really? i think it takes more setup, and wastes more time, harder to lay upside down and tig pipes together while you need to hold them etc

yes, but remember this is Sloppy Mechanics, he don't have time for the better fit up and cleanliness needed for TIG...
