Dyno and overall motor has been nothing but issues. Thrust bearing is wiped out after 100 miles, the motor was never right from the get go. So motor is back out getting fixed and a bigger set of heads shooting for 700 !
It did put down 620rwhp at 6300rpm, with the reluctor fighting back and forth with all the endplay. Unsure what it would of really made if 100%

Asides from Dougs headers, have you heard anything about using headers made for a fourth gen in a 2nd gen? I'm doing a similar swap and am trying to stay on a budget and heard you can get away with just bending the collector

4th gencheaders can be done but heating the and twerking the collected needs 2 be done. Not worth the effort in my book.v

Just an fyi, thrush bearing issues come from problems behind the flywheel/flexplate 99% of the time.
What I'm getting at is this......make sure the rest of your driveline is good to go before you put the new motor in otherwise you'll just be repeating this process. Doesn't matter who is building the engine.

Going different clutch to see if maybe the pressure plate was made to tight, it was always hard to push in but engages and felt ok. also going to recheck front supercharger pulley alignment. input isn't bottoming out, and driveshaft has plenty of slip yoke.

Great looking car and setup. Sorry about the engine misfortune.
Love that you went with Kenne Bell. They are tremendous SC's.![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)
Once you put the motor back in the car though, run the intake filter to an area away from the engine, perhaps by the headlight. You're getting lots of heat soak with the filter mounted against the engine and above the headers.

I can't wait till you get this going again. Are you running a heat exchanger? How big is your resivour? Im curious to see what the iats will be. I have a Whipple 2.9 and mine run 20-25 over ambient.

I have an Afco w/ fans built for a gt500. If you look at speedway.com in the garage sale sec. there is always deals on heat exchangers . I payed 500$ retails for 800$ . Came with harness, relays , etc . You could prob get an upgraded Camaro one . I think the fans will help a lot.
