Not surprised if it is a stick or a 8 speed on stock tires. Mine has the cats deleted and CAI. Has a inch taller tire on the rear which seems to help traction out a bit. Deleted cats and JLT CAI woke the car up some for sure. Dodge engineers said from the factory the only restriction the car has is the Cats. Plan on port matching the intake and throttle body then getting a tune. No more mods after that. HP wise.
most of my witnessed and personal challenger encounters were with tune/exhaust models and a handful of the older srt models that got embarrassed. The cars look great though at least, Love the green and black models.

Did the 5.0 not have a CAI? Also surprised it did better from a dig than a roll!!! Great vids man keep them coming!

I really don't think the 8 speed in the Challenger shifts that much faster. Mine just has a massive timing drop (we logged it this weekend, goes to around -4 degrees) so I think the audible cues make it sound slower than it really is. I'd bet they are within a hair, at least stock.

I just let the LC do it's thing. I can beat it SOMETIMES, but for consistency, I just let it do it's thing. The one race in there I started in a real bad spot (tons of dirt and gravel), so it pulled a bunch of timing.

Ok, in that case if the transmission is doing the job there is time to be had in the torque management area I would think. Basically my point is then the A8 in the Scat sounds like it is power shifting and the A8 in the SS sounds like it is letting out of the gas. Make sense? My exhaust does make a exploding pop sound when it shifts too. Like the factory tuning is not cutting fuel on the shift. In sport mode anyway.
