That thing has valvetrain problems, looking at that dyno plot.

I would agree spinning or intake manifold/valve events are off.

car is in shop getting tweaked. I'll post a new dyno sheet and track times soon. Expecting it back end of this week, maybe next. Had a long delay, I'll explain more on that later.

I didn't give you the links to what was asked in the PM about 800 hp builds with a small bore. I could give you the links but heres what I copied and pasted and made me little book I printed out. 800 hp for small bore blocks as you look remember what I spoke of in all the listed cam duration to get 800.

800 HP naturally aspirated

BES Stroked Nova:

I don't think it would take that much... I would have thought that thing would make more than 830 NA..

Just for a idea, 6.0L block, 4.100 crank 13.2 to 1, all pro hurricane heads with some port work, solid roller 27x/27x 7xx/7xx 10xlsa cam, out of the box super victor intake shaft mount rockers and all the other good stuff.... Almost 800 horse NA. but My engine builder is pretty proven with NA setups, or nitrous and just about everything else lol... I don't want to give exact numbers just yet.

and its going into a Nova this winter.. small tire car. should be fun with a 250 shot! lol
He Later said he made over 800..

Crossbreed: Build
So i know this may be a loaded question but,
im interested in peoples opinion of what type of HP/rpm range this combo may operate in?
combo is,
410 in LS based
4.030" bore
4.00" stroke
14.7 compression
6.125" rod
268-276 @050 692-685"w 1.8 shaft rocker 110 l/s in on 106
tight lash CAMMOTION 55 MM solid roller
245ccLSX TRICK FLOW 13.5 DEGREE heads cnc'd w some hand blending done also- 2.100 hollow stem int valves -1.6 exh valves
both weigh 91-92 grams
flow numbers-int 360cfm-exh 270cfm both at 650" lift
ported super vic intake w modified hp 1000 carb
1-7/8 header to 3.5 in
IM MAINLY INTERESTED IN WHERE THIS THING MIGHT MAKE POWER TO AS TO SEE IF ITS CLOSE IN CAM TO WHATS NEEDED?
Im hoping for it to peak at 7300-7500 rpm or so?
Any guesses ?
thanks!! 84' LSX Mustang/Hertz Rent-a Car 5.82@116 w 1.26 60 ft 9.20@147 ALL MOTOR IN 5900ft of D/A on 275 radials
2014 USP Limited Street Champ Only all motor car in class!!
I think he got close but no 800 but a darn good package.

Dwills build
820Hp N/A Ls 408

6.0 LQ9 Iron truck block (4.03 bore)

Victory Ti retainers and locks
Pac 1325 valve springs 250/750 pressure
Crower SS 1.8 shaft rockers
Bullet solid roller 278/290 @ .050 .818/.819 lift 112 LSA

HVH 2" spacer
Stefs oil pan
Dailey external oil pump
Star vacuum pump
Pro Header 1 7/8 x 2 x 2 1/8 with 3 1/2 merge collector

Tune was 26 degrees of timing with 184/184 jets and 5671A-9 plugs .025 gap

Started on a Superflow and finished on a DTS dyno. According the Superflow the DTS is 5% lower. Between time constraints and a **** load of problems is the reason why I had to finish on a DTS. Had to break up the dyno sessions in two days, because of work schedule. First was on a Thursday it made 821 @ 7800, 621tq @ 6100. Came back the following Tuesday and was down 16hp, because of the weather so kept the tune the same. Went from -10 to -9 plugs, bumped up the vacuum 4 Ibs, and turned down the oil pressure and gained another 16hp. There's several things I didn't get to try which IMO would have picked it up another 10hp to 20hp. I'm assuming it would have been low 860s to high 870s on the Super flow dyno, weather pending. Either way this is the second motor I've ever built and still have a lot to learn. Just can't wait to get it on the blacktop dyno to see were I'm really at. Figured I would share.

Research Research and long nights and days looking for this group.

stripes1987
These cylinder heads*TFS 245 I think or 265 me Patron* have a 46cc combustion chamber

Victory Titanium 2.100 intake valve
Victory Titanium 1.600 Exhaust valve
Manley Nextek Dual springs with dampers
280lbs seat pressure 750lbs open pressure
Titanium Manley Retainers

Jesel Shaft System 1.8 rocker arm ratio on the intake and exhaust.
3/8 hardware, it also has 5/16 ball adjusters
Geometry is already set for valve length.

Super Victor Intake Manifold. GCRE Stage 3 Port Work
4500 dominator flange, extensive plenum and runner work.

and the Camshaft is a comp cams, HXL lobe 274/288 @ .050 .810/.817 lift on a 115LSA

this was on a 408 that was 14.8:1 compression it made 675rwhp through a th400 5800 converter 9" with 40spline gun drilled axles 4.56 gears and a set of slicks.

the converter was not right in the car it needed to be around 6800 and it would have gone faster but going through the traps in high gear at 7100rpm it went 5.87 @ 117.20 with a 1.29 60ft in a 3200lb race weight car

The stripes1987 setup looks interesting. Besides his combo, what are the MPH and ¼ MILE TIMES, VEH WTS of the other setups?

I have found a really good cam grind and grinder (and they are NOT on this site). Once I have a few time slips, I'll post up some real time data and specs on all.

** BTW I have some TFS 245s I would sell if anyone wants them **.

It's there you need to look for 1 of them CrossBred was @ around 2800LBS:
84' LSX Mustang/Hertz Rent-a Car 5.82@116 w 1.26 60 ft 9.20@147 ALL MOTOR IN 5900ft of D/A on 275 radials
2014 USP Limited Street Champ Only all motor car in class!
Dwill has went from a 4 in crank to a 3.75 or standard size factory crank.....his car is very lightweight and hasn't gotten any testing yet, BES Stroked Nova won't work it's a NOS car.

To get a 8 out of a small bore you need a lot that's why most of the guy's way bac moved to bigger combo's. Rowdy Coleman's Camaro 408 is in GMHT it went like 9.28 @ 3200lbs. Good guy... he's on my FB and speed dial.

Here's Dave Mizells build I follow him on YouTube along with others from here and YB. Darin,ER Racing,Rowdy Coleman,G.Good,John B.,BES Stroked Nova,FRH,Tim-86 Hatch....etc

Here's Dave's build researched it also long time to find it's in my printed out book I made LOL. This one it's for ALL the Destroker Guys 346 with a big bore and a Foxbody.

Converter is 7" by ultimate, stalls at 7250.
gears are 4.56...shift it at 9200...
14.3/1 compression...solid roller....1140cfm carb, PI intake.....distributor w/MSD 7, external wet sump....and so much more.
I expect low 9's soon...
The DA was 2320 on the 9.43 pass, 83F air temp...

JR,
4.155 X 3.185.
Callies Magnum Xl cranks with undercut pendulums for balance, 1.85 IRL journals.
K1 4340 Hbeam rods ARP 7/16 2000 bolts with 1.85 big end.
Wiseco Custom pistons, ne easy task getting compression with 3.185 stroke.
GFX ring package custom fit for NA power.

Dave

Getting close folks... Had to do some mods to the oiling system. Engine spinning to 7200rpm+ now and was losing oil pressure on top.
