Thanks for the answer. I think I am going with TEA stage 2. Just have to measure how far the current cam opens the valves.

In my opinion, there's far more important things that make a head flow than the intake valve size.

I know. That is why this thread is not asking about anything related to heads, except for intake valve size.

Port velocity, port volume, chamber design, valve job, valve size, exhaust port efficiency (way overlooked in my opinion) etc. all play part in what makes a head great or a turd. If one of those aforementioned is not optimized for the "combination", then results will suffer. AI has proved you don't need oversized intake valves to make great power.

At this point, the decision is between AI 226cc and TEA stage 2

Have you looked into the AI 232cc heads? Phil told me they will theoretically make more power than the 226cc heads. Either way you go, you'll be getting top notch heads.

I have the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 heads and a custom Comp Cam .588/232 intake .600/238 exhaust. Stock LS1 bottom end 1.75 headers, LS6 intake. ORY single exhaust. Ran 11.96 @ 115 at 1100ft above sea level in a car that weighs 3875lbs with my fat self in the seat.

There are better combo's. But for the money the PRC heads are hard to beat.

I did look at those, but the TEA stage 2 have higher Flow numbers, with a smaller port, on a smaller flow bench bore.. In theory, that would mean more air velocity for better low and mid power.

If you factor in new valve cost, TEA is $7 more than AI.
