Took the car to the track last weekend and completely lost spark in cylinder #8. I am paranoid so I had two sets of coils and harnesses, extra plug wires, and stock in ngk but I could not get the car to spark.
Been a busy week so I havent been able to go further with it. I ordered a back up pcm so if that is the troubles I have one on deck.

Looking back at a few pictures off my phone the rear of the head which was cylinder #8 when I redid the headgaskets was not sparking then too. Very strange ****.
If its not one thing it is the other. I guess the mph loss was just the 5 degrees of timing I pulled to help keep the heads from lifting on the exhaust side edge.

I have an l33 5.3 block with wiseco pistons and callies rods. I tune my own car. Have for a decade so almost every time I drive it I am messing with the tune.

I have the original motor back in it. The 3.80 bore 5.3 with wiseco's and callies. Oem crank again. I spun the rod bearing and then just drove on the iron 6.0 for a while. But I put the 5.3 back in about 3 months ago. The balance of the car is far better with aluminum block. That 100lbs off the front is extremely noticable with those weak springs on the coilovers.

Guess I was half asleep and read right over the post above that you had it back in there.....ill post pics today and probably start a thread...but long story short, my brother got it back in 02. It's a 01 ss, he procharged it and kept it 7-8 years then sold it to our tuner....tuner had a 377 lme with s484 on it and he sold as a roller back to me.....so it's back in the family.....now to outrun my brother in his 5.3 turbo 28k mile 02 z28 orange z28....that's the goal anyways .

Last race of the year. Didnt do too bad. Thought I was on 22 psi and was actually on 19.8 on the first pass @ 153mph. Second pass was 22.5 psi and 155mph

Then on my third and final pass of the day I forgot to arm my transbrake switch. Roll through the beams so my time started. Son of a bitch. 26.3 psi and she rode out at 159.7 ... Finally made some progress with the car. Rolled it across the scales at milan too and it was 3,400 with me in it. Not sure which scale to beleive.
