Snuck into the 5s last night at my local 1/8th mile track. The car was bracket car consistent. Only varied 2 hundredth between passes.

Also got some data on my converter using data logs from my Daytona Sensors WEGO 3. The converter was flashing to 5500 RPM on the launch and still dropping 1400-1500 RPM on the shifts. Hmmm. Restall the converter looser or add more nitrous......................which way to go?

Well, with the 54* weather today, hunny do's done, X-mas stuff put away, I got to spend a few hours in the garage/driveway and got the trans in (after seeing Matt's video ) It's not 100% done, but cross member is in as well as 2 bell housing bolts.
More when time allows

i have found that if i can spend even 15 minutes in the garage doing something every day, that it keeps me moving forward with my projects. i know that's easier said than done, but when i'm able to keep the trend up, it's amazing how quickly things fall together. i can't wait to see what your car does this year with the fresh trans

Matt, I have my fingers crossed that this was the missing puzzle piece to my quest.

My problem is.... car is on the trailer (full floor), in the garage, so the only way to work on it right now is to let out the winch leaving the front tires on the trailer.
PITA, but works when the weather is decent.

I feel ya brother. I just pulled my trans on the floor yet again. This time to have my converter tweaked.

tweaking the converter

They were supposed to loosen mine some and I forgot to ask when I picked it up as to what they did and how much But, the guy is good at what he does, so we'll see.

2nd and 3rd clutches were shot (3rd being the worse)...Didn't say anything about 1st gear clutches....but if I had to guess
One thing they found when they rebuilt the trans and dyno'd, was the pump was putting out low pressure....so a new one was installed.

Is it wrong to get a little giggle when you see your name written on a converter ?

A "medium" amount.

It is very smooth. I am working toward seeing some 60's in the high 1.2s. We will see if I can get it there.

The car is in a sweet spot right now. A safe amount of nitrous and a very consistent launch. We will see if it will make a step up without too much fuss.
