You have referenced my build thread, it looks like with your cooling lines. Great to see that you used AN fittings, I wanted to but just a little bit pricey. I picked up a 2007 997.1TT this past weekend, pulls like a freight train. I can only imagine how my LS2 will feel!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, now that's nice.. defiantly want to know how each car performs and compares when your build is done. Any progress on your build?

A/C, Alt, accessories and belt arrived this week. Ended up having to trim and cut more metal but glad I did, much easier to access everything and better clearance for the belts.

2 weeks of business travel starting Sunday so will not have any updates till next month but plan on getting the intake done pretty quickly and then onto the electrical.

Also scored a Fast fuel rail and guage in the classified that should get delivered next week. Best part about this build is I am not crunched for time and patiently wait for good deals on parts. If anyone has a nice pair of shorty headers let me know.

Just finishing up the cold air intake, AC lines and putting the insides back together. I had a bit of a set back, went to start it and realized I had F'ed up the fuel pump wiring.

Been awhile since my last update and finally back in town..

Once again Profab knocked it out of the park with the intake elbow. Took me several attempts shaping and cutting more into the car but it fits perfectly. Will be working on the A/C lines and headers this weekend.

Nice looking air intake system!! I had thought about that approach, but it does not work with the PS pump. I could have used the electric PS pump system, but I really dislike the lack of steering feel that you lose with that kind of pump setup.

Got around to putting in my ECU and messing around with some wiring today and as anticipated the dash lights up like a Christmas tree of colors and error messages. Was able to hook up the oil and water temp sensors and torched up with a lighter to see if the ECU and gauges worked...and they did..

Question regarding the oil level guage. What signal is the ECU looking for to bypass this error message? Do the 2 wires need to be wired together or is there a resistor or something that can be added to simulate the oil level? Anyone have a sensor that they can measure ?

I have been trying to figure out the level sender for a while ,tied the wires together, tried a couple resistors. The only thing i can figure is to seal it up in a tube full of oil.......lol.

Todd,
Congrats on the setup. What you need is a 26 ohm resistor to get it to regester a full oil level.

Love this build!! Looks like we had similar ideas on the Intake...I have the same 90 degree cast Aluminum bend.

Put the catch can in this weekend and messed around with pedal and TAC module. Didn't realize the GEN3 plastic Silverado pedal was shifter so far right so ended up hacking it to pieces and spacing out the factory pedal cover. It will work for now but I will probably change it out latter down the road, also need to contact PSI about my harness and PCM as it is programmed for a C5 pedal and TAC module.

Also played around with the intake and put my M5 filter onto the intake to see how it would look. Believe I can squeeze a 9" K&N with a 6" base which should pull plenty of air. Will need to shield or build a air box to divert the heat from the header and engine. I like the fact it sits up top against the spoiler. I will drill holes and vent the spoiler in this area.

You may want to add a support brace for that intake tube. Engines vibrate more than you can imagine and it wouldn't take much to fatigue that tube.

You see that everytime you drive the Cougar. Do you think his engine plate mount would tame most of this?

Plenty of vibes get transmitted to the chassis in these cars. Swapping between stock mounts and semisolid is a noticeable difference to the driver with even the flat 6.

Did you mount your engine mounts upside down? Any modifications or did you simply flip them around?

Been awhile since my last update and been busy with work but have managed to get my harness completed and engine re-installed. I decided to integrate all the Porsche wires and sensors into the PSI harness for simplification and clean install. Guys at PSI were also a great help providing pinouts and support. For those considering doing a swap it Took me an entire 45min to install motor, mounts and accessories. Try that with a P-motor...
