Ha! You are a comedian. Nah just moving to my more permanent work space. Should have regular progress from here though.

Even found some paint under all that filth!

I don't want to get locked into an endless discussion about car care products, but you should really consider investing in a Rupes 21 Mark II, power sprayer, MTM Hydro Foam Lance (or better), CG CWS_402 soap, light clay or nanoskin fine grade, P21S paint cleaner (very important!), and Cquartz or McKee's 37.

I definitely want to do the full tilt on the body once I am done with the mechanicals.. I will surely hit you up for some more info on the items you listed once I am ready. Will need some touch-up work from the flying tiger tent incident of early last year. And I figure with all the reassembly there is a chance I will do something stupid so I am going to save that work for the end.

For now, it's in an insulated building with no leaks. Haven't seen this car clean and in decent light in so long I forgot how much I like the lines on the V1. I really like it a lot better visually compared to the V2 sedan.

Front and rear 3/4 angles are my favorite. Once you get the car running, you should consider a set of coilovers, smoke LED tail lights, and Forgestar F14s or equivalent. Once you ditch the anemic tires and drop the car an inch or two, it really starts to shine. Here's JaybirdWS6's V1 with most of those things:

And then of course there's the obligatory slammed CTS-V from Forgestar's site:

Already have the KW V3s installed. Not adjusted though. Have some 360s coming eventually but I think I am leaning more to the F14s by the day. I know everybody is doing it but there just aren't many V1s around me and the two I have seen are stock. So I may jump on that wagon with the rest here pretty soon.

For now, pulling the heads to send the intake valves to Del West for a free polish. Risk of guide issues otherwise. Common to the LS9 and LS7 heads. But while that is going on I can do the new oil pump and get the bellhousing aligned. Progress soon I hope once I finish moving into the new space.

Your car is definitely a lot cleaner looking then mine, my front bumper is faded, paint coming off the side mirrors and the plastic trim on roof. Hopefully when I get her running, she will get a fresh coat and some new rims, and some lights, and some.... ****

Before you buy wheels, send me a message and I'll give you the rundown on your 5x116 and 5x120.65 options. Try to avoid investing in 6x115--you're locking yourself into a very limited selection of wheels, rotors, and wheel bearings.

You are a motherf...I mean...CONGRATS! Seriously, you needed a reliable fast car while you build the V1. I'm a little surprised you didn't pick up a built V2...

Yeah no crap...Where is the tumbleweed emoticon?
For now just a daily... Mods? Yeah when traction falls out of the sky.

BTW got $10K off MSRP because PO bought and traded in with 307 miles on it. That also qualifies for Cadillac "certified" pre-owned so something like 6 year 100K warranty. I lucked up and couldn't pass up. Shipped from Scottsdale, AZ.

The V1 is still going to be more fun once done...And far more gnarly.

Two different cars, that's for sure. But if I had V3 money... I don't think a V1 would be anywhere in my fleet. Haha!
