Tube sub frame? Havnt never heard of that unless it is new. Detroit speed makes a hydaformed sub frame which is made to accommodate big wheels, LS motors, rack and pinion, blah blah blah. Much better than oem but, I hope the wallet is fat. LOL

Thanks, it's about 8 grand, not too bad but I'd rather spend it elsewhere, I'm already have a 4 link kit from ride tech and it came with shocks, as well as upper and lower control arms. It's almost 4k, and comes with pretty much all the suspention components I need

You're going the exact same route that I am. Should be a good set up.

Going auto for now. If I come across a Magnum for reasonable, I'll entertain the idea. A T56 needs too much of "this and that" to work well in my opinion. So, no info on your application.

Ok! Here's an update:

New door skins on both sides, just trying to adjust them now
New hinges and hardware all the way around

New polyurethane subframe bushings have arrived.
next steps are to drop subframe and rear end so I can seal the bottom of the car, then get ready for 4 link kit, I'm going to need to find a new rear end, this one's lsd but probably won't hold with the power I'm planning

Haven't updated in a long time so I thought I'd share some new Info. We finally decided on a pair that color. We were expecting to go with silver but instead, we have decided to paint it the same color as the dusk edition camaro. It looks black at night, and blue in the sunshine, it's super nice but it's over 600 bucks a gallon! Too late, already purchased haha. Floor, quarters, fire wall, trunk..etc are pretty much complete. We installed new skins on both doors. Just getting them shaped up and adjusted.

Haven't updated in a month...wow. alrighty, here's my progress so far...

Rear end was all done up. New posi center section, 3.73 gears, and all new bearing and seals...as well as that sexy b&m rear end cover

New shocks, 1.5 inch drop hotchkis leafs, all new bushings, leaf spring pearches..etc

as you may see below the car is the subframe. It was also painted. The cpp upper and lower control arms will be here today, as well as the QA1 front coil overs.

the tr6060 I ordered should also be here today.

We're going to go pick up a disassembled 5.7 ls1 because I feel like the 5.3 will be a bit too heavy.

here's some underbody shots

brp hotrods kit is installed

Looks good. Did you have to brace the body any to replace the rocker? I'm considering to try this VS. just cutting out the previous owners jacking F* up.

Any other pics showing your rocker during replacing it would be appreciated. Any advise?

Thanks,
Jim

I did not brace the body, I replaced everything separately, I replaced the floor before the rocker to add some structure to the car. I cut it out and welded the new one from both sides, from the front and the back, top to bottom. Solid as a rock. Then I welded a plate on the back of the rocker where the fender well is. Not to difficult but very time consuming. How bad are the rockers you have now? The dents in my old one could be fixed but there was some rust so we replaced it.
Heres an old pic
