Dual throttle bodies.. how does that work? 2 MAF's and separate intakes? I have been throwing around the idea of using a dual air filter split in the middle but not sure there is room for the MAF in front of the throttle body. Curious to know how this setup works.

Typically if the engine is newer than the car you should have no issues with an engine swap and passing emissions. That is how CA is and they have some of the most strict emission laws on the books.
If anyone is curious what it takes to break a stock diff in a c2 with an ls i found out the hard way on saturday. Lol it ran all last year with a h/c/i/100shot 6.0L no problem made 502whp. This year i turned it up to a 175shot. 2nd pass it exploded in spectacular fashion. track was suuuuper sticky. It grabbed so hard it shifted the tread on one of my tires. First time i have ever seen that. I would guess it was making 560-575whp when it let go

Damn, now that's impressive and I guess all that power in one shot was to much for the splines. What did you run your 1st pass or previous to the bigger nos shot? My luck at the track and sticky surface I always broke something. Mounts, trans, clutchs, I even had a monster Miata almost send the drive shaft up my ***.. I may decide to track my 997 for one or 2 passes but P-car parts are to expensive and I don't think my AWD diff is strong enough to take that kind of beating with the LS torque.
My best on a 100 shot was a 7.5 @ 100mph 1/8th mile. Think realistically i could have got it down to a 7.3. Im only running some pirelli street tires. Was hoping a little spinning would save the trans. Haha. On the 175shot my first pass was real shitty. Didnt realize the track was that sticky and it bogged out.

Currently in the process of doing the swap in my 964. Probably not many air cooled guys doing these swaps these days considering the increased value/price hike these cars have seen in the last couple of years.
Vehicle speed signal is working -cost $2.00 .Thanks to Zizzle who posted his solution for a Toyota but also works for the 996 .His thread has a good explanation :Solution :Swap with three wire VSS .Don't be put off by the 3 wire VSS .The Porsche signal is a digital square wave from the abs .The gm ecm needs a sine wave and Zizzle's solution does it .My mail order tune was set up for 38,000 pulses per mile and it is within 2mph of the speedo .
Anyone using a GM power steering pump find the steering feels over boosted? I talked to renegade and they said the mechanical water pump kit includes a reducer for the PS. I was thinking maybe they meant something like this: https://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/mobi...oducts_id=1691
I'm surprised you would need this, since the PS lines have to go all the way to the front of the car. I would expect you would need all the pressure you can get.
The Porsche speed signal is the same as the Toyota -digital square wave -needs to be a sine wave .Zizzle's solution does that .It is necessary for two reasons -emissions drive cycle and a proper idle .Most of the tuners recommend that the gm ecm be supplied with a VSS for drivability reasons .For $2.00 why not ?
