If I had gotten a better intake it still would have had the 1 3/4 headers on it. To get a new manifold/tb setup, new fuel rails/injectors, & new induction setup would be more than the headers. That would also require a re-tune.

The headers were a good deal.
You'll probably make the number with what you have added to your setup, but easier with a premium intake and TB.
I used a set of hand ported Dart225's with Ferrea and Manley valves milled to 58cc, a very good valve job done with a Serdi single cutter machine a BTR platinum spring kit, a custom ground .243/251 112 .625 lift cam, 23* of overlap, an Edelbrock Pro Flo with work done to the entry, a 105mm TB, Lunati Roller rockers, 11.4 CR with JE 10cc dished pistons and tight *** quench through an M4 and 8.8 Ford, P/S, A/C delete, 1-7/8 Dynatech swap headers through an x pipe and 3" bullets, 91 octane pump gas and maybe one of the best tuners in this area. Heads probably ended up in the 230-232 cc range, with 90% of the work done in the bowls ,they started life as ebay bare castings

Nice job on the upgrade! I actually just switched my street car to 2" headers. I had a bit of a setback with it a couple days before the dyno so decided to upgrade the headers while I had it back apart. I'm curious to see what your dyno and track gains are. I am also looking for power at higher rpm. I want to squeeze every drop I can out of my 383.

The MSD intake is definitely not a cheap upgrade but from what I've read and advice I've gotten from Mamo I think it will be worth it for my setup. You can use stock fuel rails and stock injectors, you just need a bolt and spacer kit for them to work. My fuel system is a full return system so I just used Fast fuel rails for myself. But then you need the TB and modify the cai a bit too. Something you can tackle down the road if you feel like it. There's always "one more mod" you can do lol. I will probably go LLSR cam and solid lifters after I max my car out at the track.

Good luck. Keep us posted

Nice. What were you revving it to? Do you have a dyno graph?

Thanks man. Cant wait to see what these headers did, to the curve, on the dyno.

Like you said.. always one more mod. Lol. A new bump stick can go a long way. Interested in the results of your street car.

Driving the car a little bit. Definitely notice the difference. The exhaust is now more "relaxed" than it was. Not as loud. One thing is those 1 3/4 headers must have been getting filled up around 3500-4000 rpm. Now the motor spins much easier. Revving up to 5k before a hit & the motor spins very free.

I def have an exhaust system now that could handle lots of power. Way more than I'm pushing through it. The motor does feel happier.

Hiocrew sure likes to ride SoFla's *** but he's always asking questions and has no problem discussing the mods on his car and what it does.

Seems like a big part of being a member of the crew is that you have to agree to insult every other LS owner out of the crew.

What the heck are you talking about? No real help needed or wanted. I built this car my way. If you look back in this thread, my expectations were low 12 & over 120mph. The nail was hit on the head. No track car here.

Now here is a question for you. If my goal was a ten, or nine, second et do you think I would have done the same thing?

On a separate note. I see scottys thread was locked. For what reason? Was the OP complaining? To me it is a little fun smack talking. Everything was going pretty smooth too.

So. To the Mods I guess. I don't mind smack talking in my thread. Please do not lock it down. Thank you.

Its amazing what passes in 1 section of this forum, but not in another. I was full on verbally assaulted by someone in another section where the guy was dropped Fbombs and using vulgar language and nothing got closed, locked, or edited; and I didn't complain or report the postings lol. I wouldn't have taken islanders bet at 125, but 130 was a reasonable bet. Oh well. Curious to see your gains with the 2" headers.
