How often are you guys with widebands having to recalibrate your gauge? Probably 300 miles on mine since the last calibration. Gauge is an innovative mtx-L.

Does it have the 4.2 or 4.9 sensor?

I don't think you have to calibrate the 4.9.

I just went by the instructions for the gauge which called for a calibration. Maybe it's not a 4.9 then.

Never have liked innovate for that. Had an old LC1 which needed calibrated and ate 4.2 sensors for breakfast. Now all my projects get ones that don't need free air calibration

I had the same AEM sensor for 6 years, never calibrated. Swapped a new sensor in and nothing changed. I have an AEM off each turbo and one is the 4.2 and the other is a 4.9 sensor, they real nearly identical.

Daily drove a PLX 4.2 for over 20k miles and is currently in a different car without every calibrating it. This is why I'll never own another Innovate product.

I tried an Innovate years ago and it was nothing but problems. Constantly had to calibrate it, would over heat, moved the sensor further from the turbo 3 times before I ditched it and got an AEM.

I just bought an Autometer wideband (#4397) and its not supposed to be any recalibrating. Hopefully that's really the case

I'll never use Innovate again because of the calibration issues they have.

AEM is definitely my favorite for this reason.

Can any of you with innovate issues in the past describe what the guage read and did? I am planning on switching but am curious if what my guage is doing aligns with what others have seen.

Mine would just bounce all over the place.

I've had my LC-1 in 4 different cars for around 10 years and it has never seemed to have a problem, knock on wood!
