Once the tire goes on you can get a real measurement. But then you're stuck with them. If your car is lowered watch your clearance on the lip, don't want to cut a tire.
So I got the wheels/tires mounted. To me, the car looks a bit monkey... tires don't stick out too bad, but now I've got the dreaded stinkbug stance. Just hope it doesn't rub. What's bad is, I can't test drive it because the downpipe v band is stripped AND I have a small gas leak. Tough to believe, but there isn't a single place in the city of Louisville that has v bands in stock!

I agree it really doesn't look bad especially if it's a track only setup. I spent a lot of money on my bogart wheels with the perfect offset so I could tuck 275 tires on my GTO because I was afraid I wouldn't like them sticking out. After going to the track and seeing tons of guys with tires sticking out past the fender lips I realized I really don't mind the way they look.
I don't think you'll have an issue with traction.
My buddy snapped the 9 inch pinion gear in his 408 PT80/96 M6 car using these tires lol.
I wouldn't sweat the 10 bolt to hard either, there's a local guy that makes 875 rwhp through his factory 10 bolt and he's been racing it for years that way.

Just yesterday I seen another guy on here that's been deep 9s @156 on one (turbo car). Hopefully the power delivery that turbo cars are known for will be what saves me. Won't be using the transbrake btw.

On Summit's website they don't list the back space which is why I went a looking.
Good to know a 5.5" is what's needed for a 15x8 wheel though.
Now we just need to know if caliper grinding is required.

Additionally if you haven't mounted them I'd send them right back, see if you have a buddy who works for a company that can ship them for you and get a discount, I do it for my friends all the time lol.
Ok, so new wheels just came in. With the +27 offset....you WILL have to clearance the calipers. With that said, I'm SO much more happy with the new offset.... car looks RIGHT now. Ordered the front runners which should be here Tuesday. I've always hated the black wheel fad, but I honestly think these cheap wheels look better than my Fikse fm10s.
Much more win haha. Those look great. Did you end up grinding calipers or running a small spacer? I'd imagine a 1/4" would work well.

Grind them. I don't like the idea of running a spacer for two reasons, it's takes away from the offset which I don't want. Plus I'm already gambling with running this 10 bolt....spacer just scares me. Plus I don't think they are legal at the track. And nah, gotta keep the FM 10s for street duty. I don't dislike them, but I think it's more of the old saying "familiarity brings contempt". I remember years ago, I used to damn near have a stroke when I seen an f body rolling around on these...... now I'm like...meh.
Haha. I haven't seen FM10s/5s in my neck of the woods in a while. Hell, clean 4th gens are becoming more scarce around here.
Spacers are fine and safe if done right. You'd wanna install some ARP studs prior to doing any spacer at all. And that can be a PIA if you don't have a 4 channel rear (you can install/remove the studs thru the 4 channel sensor hole on the axle). Hubcentric to wheel and hub are best too. I doubt the track would catch onto small ones.
