Did you order the exhaust system part number that is specific to use with the long-tube headers? There is a difference between the inlet pipe configuration of that system and the system for the mid-length headers.

Unless they sent me the wrong one, I definitely checked and checked again that I had the right numbers. My guess is that the butt pipe that is supposed to butt up to the passenger collector is just too long. The way I have it sitting, everything is tucked and looks good, the mufflers are hooked up and sitting right. Over axle pipes are clearing.

The guy packing the parts could have put the wrong inlet pipes in the box or even mis-labeled the box...these things happen from time to time. If you post some photos of the inlet tube assemblies you have from the header collectors to the X-pipe inlet I'll confirm you have what you are supposed to have.

I appreciate your willingness to help. All I did was cut 1-3/4" off the 2.5" end of the passenger side inlet tube. Fit like a glove after. Just fired it up and it sounds downright amazing. Pics and videos incoming sometime soon.
Just wanted to let the LT1 guys know that this kit is easily adaptable with a little bit of work. Fits great and nice quality system for the price it can't be beat. The only problem I experienced was that none of the 2 1/2 inch clamps fit, but I welded most of it so I didn't bother complaining for new clamps.

Weird that you are having problems with the clamps. Mine fit perfect and they are actually Accuseal brand.
Mystery Bird, I'd like to see the clamps that were sent with your kit as I've never experienced them not fitting. I'm thinking you might have been sent 2.25" or 3" clamps by mistake. Were they too small, or too big to fit the slip connections?

They were too large, when I tightened them it would not hold and I cranked on them. The 3" clamps were fine but not the 2 1/2.
Not the best video quality because I'm technologically illiterate, but you can get a decent sound judgement. I'm waiting on the tune/Dyno with the new system to compare to my 3" dumps, which laid down 401rwhp on a mustang 250.
ISU-WS6, out of curiosity, what prompted your switch from your 3" dump system to the Blackheart duals?
So I loved the dumps. Sounded amazing, especially with my 20" Powersticks. But they blew road dust and soot everywhere. The drone, while not awful, wasn't fun. And they made the lack of cats more apparent. I wanted the Blackheart system since day one that they came out, but the price range was too much for my college budget, and I didn't want to modify the system to fit into my preexisting TSP longtubes, so I left it at that. Fast forward to making big boy money, and finally I decided it was time to upgrade. I needed the extra ground clearance since I plan to lower the car, over the axle was nice because then I could lift the car and let the rear hang (couldn't with the dumps and the torque arm), and I didn't mind sacrificing some power. Honestly I don't think the power difference will be too much, I'm using the same tuner to retune, and it will be the exact same Dyno and Dyno operator. Mustang 250 in-ground.
It will be the only back to back test in existence. These auto magazines try to compare something, but for whatever reason they always add some extra **** to the second test. Like okay, test this exhaust system first, and test the second system but also add a new intake or heads or some ****. Drives me crazy.

Yeah, the way you're doing it will yield usable results.
