Went to a skreetcar shootout yesterday. Cars complete a ~25mile in town stop and go cruise with 1 check point to make a random draw for race pairings.

It's a badass event with stiff competition. Low 9s was considered a duck. lol

Me vs the car I beat 2 summers ago in the finals to be Saskatchewan's fastest small tire car. Large cube nitrous car. (first round)




He spun and I was gone, coasted from about 1000ft to make sure I didn't go faster than my 8.5 safety.

Me vs a home built front/back tube chassis Celica with an 88mm/SBE LS. (Second round)




We both hooked and he came around me by the 1/8 mile. I ran it out and lost by about 4 cars.

Great event, just need to get lucky and draw a duck or 3 next time.

7.99 would be cool one day.
TY! It gets tougher every year. 3 seven second cars and 1 six second car were entered at this event.
TY! Or I could cut 800lbs to match the celica weight and be faster than him. He ran a 7.98 later that day. lol

TY. I really don't remember the last time it has gone that far on the skreet, but it certainly doesn't happen often. lol

The motor never gets hot, it's typically the TH400 that I have to watch the temp on. Tbrake makes it warm pretty fast.

No. Got down to 8.75 with it last year, then sold the 76/75 and slapped on a 80/96.

There is a direct replacement 88 wheel to swap out my 80. Might do that one day and go slower. lol
