Yeah he posted that chop twice in the gram first time it said they'd be around 400..…...second one now says $800 ish. I actually reached out to him about the lense cause I want a set for what I want to do and he said he'd get back to me, but the AVS cover doesn't instill much confidence honestly. I got another line on them but wanted to see if he was gonna be cheaper.

800 seems a bit of a stretch when one can get AVS covers for like $80, granted then you still need LED's, hardware, etc. Then the labor on top of that. $400 seems much more feasible.

Not sure how rigid AVS covers are. I know I have a set laying around because I got sick of them and I finally did something with my actual tails.

Attachment 718167

The AVS covers seem to get nicked up easily from what I can remember.

Light covers. Aaaaaahh the 90's, I do miss that era lol.

I dunno why people want to change the lights on these things so much. Am I the only one who thinks the factory got it right? Having said that the twin circle photoshop pic is pretty sick looking.

I googled the light covers to see what they looked like on a TA and found this. Hard to believe those rims actually exist.

Lol. Have to admit that when I bought my fox body somewhere around the year 2000 it had headlight covers and a roof/hatch spoiler. I immediately ditched the light covers but kept the spoiler, I liked it. Kept it that way for years.

Oh wow, someone's actually making them.

I don't know who that is, and I've never shown the photoshops to any of my friends, I've only posted them here. I don't even have a FB account.

I think he just said it was a friend to avoid saying he got the images from here. Or maybe he did get them from a friend and his friend is lying lol. Either way, I don't mind. Just glad someone liked the concept enough to try to make them.

I think it's important to get the ratios and placement right. I fiddled with that until I felt it was perfect D;

I can always just say I "designed" them

Yea this doesn't look right. Too small and placement is off. The led pattern is wrong too and won't make a perfect ring.

IMO, he would need to redo the entire housing and not use the oem design.

He should start from the size, ratio and placement of the LEDs and work backwards.

I actually got the inspiration from a work truck that had some LED brake light on it. Something like this: http://truck.uapac.com/product/cont?pid=1858

The more I see it the more I'm convinced he is using the stock housing drilling holes to set the ring in and gluing the blackout cover back over it to seal it up. Close look at those pics and it's just the lt1 tail lights
