I'm just hoping they fix my problem. They're not really lookers though. I'm terrible at welding thin material. I mostly Arc weld on much thicker stuff. I started to grind the drivers header then realized I was grinding too deep and making the pipe even thinner. So I just knocked down my welds slightly thereafter.

Picture of the rack.
Some of the engine mounts as they were being made and how they attached to the frame rails.

In all of my searching I never could find a good side by side comparison of a powerglide next to a 4L60E. So I took some photos.
While I was at it I threw them on the scales.
Empty new built powerglide.
And partially drained 4L60E, the slip yoke was not in the trans on the scale.
I didn't weigh the car after the new exhaust. But this trans should put me just shy of 2100 lbs.

Would you recommend using a front plate mount vs the side mounts? I think I'm going to build my own exhaust out of factory manifolds like your original design. I'm not looking to race the car but would like to make it easy on myself

Sorry for another question, but didn't notice anything in here about the fuel system. On the one startup vid it sounded like an intank pump. Are you using a fuel cell and I just missed it? I want to try and keep the factory tank

Having used both side mounts and a front plate. I'd definitely recommend the plate mount. I think in optimum conditions it's best to use a mid plate too. But I did research and found plenty of people just using the front plate alone so I'm trying that for now. The fuel pump setup is Aeromotive stealth in tank setup. Kinda pricey but very easy to install and supports more HP than I'll probably ever run.

Thanks, I'm in Alexandria. I was surprised how little LS cars I saw on the way down.

i think it's also a matter of not driving it like a pickup truck and avoiding the big black spots on the road indicating a big dip. I have a lot of those in my area and I slow down or go off center of them.
