I bought a an 06' GTO as a donor car for my nova swap. And yes, the seats are already in n stayn. Paid 5k for a running n driving 12k miles gto. It was cosmetically totald. But i swapped engine n seats into my turbo project. Sold everything else off including the totald roller. Damn near got my money back

Very nice. I've always loved the GTO seats.

*sigh* I see stuff like that and it just reminds me what an embarrassment the V seats - correction: the SRX seats that are in the V - are.

Quite true considering 10yrs ago the cts V was a 53k flagship car for cadillac,lol...than again im still trying to understand the lame navigation and lack of ipod/input jack

Just remember what life was like in 04-05...iPods were the equivalent of a Walkman, and majors weren't sure they'd (MP3, etc) catch on in a lasting way. The Navigation was barely adequate for the day, a time where they all sucked, unless you spent a ton for an aftermarket system and constantly played with it. Yeah, the seats are pretty ho-hum but just the fact that Caddy put 400 ponies in a sedan with a stick and a well sorted (for its day) suspension, was incredible. What's more incredible is how good, how quickly, "hot rods" have gotten over the last 10+ years. I'd argue the V1s (re)started this trend, certainly for domestics, more meaningfully than anything in recent memory, with only BMW as a true comparison. Without the success of this car, we wouldn't have all the fast cars we have now, especially the 4 door versions.

True, someone had to break the ice. But they defly charged accordingly for that. I graduated in 01'. Ipods were huge in the 2000s n up. They missed that refinement. 6disc changers were already starting to go the way of the dodo. My 02 ford lightning had it n even back than they seemed kinda silly. I dunno, but yea im thankful for the lsx swap and suspension vs. A more refined interior so to speak. Just 53k?!?! The gtos were low 30s, and had everything the V did except 2less doors. I doubt the cts v was 20k better at the time. Maybe all in all, it simply appealed to a different class of customer back than.

P.s. anyone know how much the TBSS were back than new? I forget

TBSS was around 40k, I believe. Depends if you got AWD or the LT packages. Seemingly a deal these days. The SRT Jeeps are a cool 100k. They were 50k when introduced.

Still waitn on Kooks LTs to come in at CSP, but meanwhile, i spoke with my engine builder. We ve decided to port my Fast 92mm intake and LS2 throttle body. Its not costing me much. What do you guys think? Worth doing for stock longblock?
He said its better throttle response n will make more hp once i do some head n cam work. I dunno, fawk it, lets check those boxes too...ballin on a budget!

I'm very happy with my fast 92 ported intake.
Make sure you get the adapter kit to run it with an LS2.

Don't have Dyno numbers, but it really smoothed out my car after the long tubes, and it pulls pretty good now.

Car is tuned by Pat Gurerra.

Long tubes, cai, act twin disc, tranzilla later today, H pipe into stock mufflers, 8.8, kw var 3, and a ton of other stuff. CS bushings, dorman drive shaft, Umi mounts, 5lug etc etc.

It really wakes up the car with long tubes.

Quick question-My Fast 92 and TB porting are almost done. CSP emailed me, Kooks are in and its time to drop the car off(feb 2nd) for LT install and tuning. Plan was to install the fast 92 n tb n drive it out there...apprx 2hr drive. Will the car run well enough to make the trip?
