99 ws6 temp gauge issues. Pcm correct
Trying to track down a temp gauge issue. Pcm is seeing correct temp and comes up with temp. Gauge shows like 200 at all times, no exceptions. Where do i start in tracking down the issue? What wires feed the cluster he info?

I don't see an issue. First, in the picture I see the IAT gauge, that is for the intake air temperature, not the engine water temperature. Second, you have a '99 that uses digital gauges, not analog. The '98 three prong temp sensor actually read the real time temperature to the gauge cluster. For '99-'02, once the temperature warms up, the gauge will pretty much sit at 190-200 all the time while the car temp is within operating range.

The ECT is directly above that, in bothe these pictures were taken 10'seconds apart. The pcm reads 39*, the dash says 200 ish. It. does. Not. Move. Period.
I know about the dummy gauge, I also know at -10 degrees first start, the gauge should not read 200*. The gauge doesn't move. Period. At all. From -10 outside first start, to warmed up and operating temp, it says 200 the entire time. I've had 4-5 of these cars, they all start at the cold peg and come up to the middle when it's warm. THis car is doing nothing.
