That's awesome. Good to see a fellow blue collar guy reaping benefits of his hard work.
Good for you man. Well deserved.

What balance are you running?

Can you give a distance from the face of it to the flat part of the timing cover.
My problem is my downpipe fitting.

Ill try to remember to measure it 06 Chevy. It is a single row ls1 setup though. Probably the same as an fbody pulley exactly.

So I decided to take a little vacation to ocala and while I was there a buddy broke his car the morning of the half mile event. So I bought his ticket and made a couple blasts.
I wish I had known sooner so I could throw a 3.08 or something gear in the car.
Physically would not go any faster then 190.x mph with the 3.42 gear at 8,150 rpm

So since I lingered over 8k for 3.5 seconds I decided to not be as hard on the car for the second pass. I was surprised at how well the car did on 20-21 psi and 12 degrees of timing. Im a little excited and am going to enter in the next 1/2 mile with a gear change, a little more boost, and strapping the front down.

Not the same kind of data but the intake sure seemed to make some power up in the 7,000-8,000 rpm range.

But the best part was just cruising town in the car. The more I do with it the more I love it.
I ran about 40 gallons of e85 through it and damn did it feel good.
It felt so good that I left the car down there so I had a reason to go back soon and pick it up.

Lol you would.

That does look like a blast..! I've always thought that would be a good time to go all out like that. How different of a feeling was it to go an extra 1/4mi?

It was awesome. You dont feel that awesome blast of 1st gear because there is no prep or traction but it is fun. It would be really fun if you have the gear to do it. The worst part was not being able to go faster. Just felt like a wall. But its fun. Im a honda guy so Ive always been a fan of that brutally fast back half.

Just finished reading the whole thread. I. Love. This. Car.

I just bought an 01 SS with a sbe 4.8 and a Chinese 76mm. There’s a lot on the car I want to redo and this has me super motivated. Keep it up.

Man, I saw you in the staging lanes and just didnt get a chance to introduce myself. We were battling with Nitrous problems with the 6.0l 6-gear 1972 Nova. No bottle heater in 35deg weather meant for a lack luster performance.

I saw you rip off the 190mph pass and I was super impressed. Made all us LS guys happy.

My buddy Andy ended up going 213.6mph with his TT 5th-Gen viper. Your car is is way cooler IMHO. Congrats!
