Hope so buddy. If the weather holds to be nice I plan on taking the molding off the truck. It's very time consuming but I don't like the molding. I bought a 3M wax wheel and a heat gun to get the job done.

Update- when I bought the truck the 3rd brake light was missing above the cab. My only options for this issue was buy a aftermarket light off eBay/Amazon, or the junkyard. Lucky for me I found one yesterday at my local junkyard for 15 dollars. However the light is dull looking. Any advice on how to make my 3rd brake light look new again ?

Also this Friday I'll be ordering me a nice set of towing mirrors.

You mean the lens has a dull finish to it? Use some rubbing compound, followed by polishing compound. Actually the polish might be good enough.

I always polished mine on a bench grinder with a cloth wheel and using jewelers rouge sticks. You can get them at places like northern tool and harbor freight

I do my headlights, tail lights and 3rd brake light housings.

I use a regular automotive buffer on them and never remove them from the vehicle. If they're really bad i sand them with 320 sandpaper and work the grit out to 2000.

Here lately I've did a few where i just sanded them with 600 and cleared them with a fast drying 4 to 1 clear. That seems to work the best for longevity.

I'm too scared to hit the paint lol and on my 04 the headlights came out with pulling two pins and the tail lights were two screws so.. I went with that method.

I gotta learn to detail paint next. Just bought a 14 truck and some slob put swirl marks all over the damn thing.

Thanks for the replies. I'm go try wet sanding first. If that don't work I'll try something else.

Thanks!! It already feel like a different truck on the inside after I put in hours of work on the carpet. I got all the stains out the carpet using multiple cleaners. The best carpet cleaner is not tuff stuff... it's blue magic. I also spent 2 hours of rubbing the dash down trying to get it where I like it.

Suppose to rain Saturday... but I'm still go try to make my 3rd brake light I bought from the junkyard look new again and mount it on the truck with some new bulbs.

Where'd you get the Blue Magic from? I'm always up for trying something new and I need to give the Suburban a good detail when it's nice out again.

I have always used Tuff Stuff with great results though. My 1500HD had some nasty coffee stains on the drivers side carpet and it took them right out. Took some grease out of the rear cargo area of my Rainier too.

As soon as I sprayed my carpet with blue magic I knew it was already better than Tuff Stuff. Blue Magic foams up so much better. It's really strong for those tough stains. Wish I would've know before I wouldn't never wasted my money on other products. Also you can pick it from wal mart, dollar General or any parts store such as oriellys carries it. Here is a pic

Castrol super clean or the knock of purple power works awesome for that. It also comes in a gallon jug at full concentrate and you mix it with water so it lasts a real long time. It's about 10 dollars and if you mix it 50/50 it works awesome as a degreaser, as good as brake clean, and if you mix it about 90/10 80/20 or so it cleans the hell out of carpet. I used it in several vehicles on the interior and I use it every day to clean engines.

Well 6.5s made it here to the house. My 4x6s left crutchfield today (back order) . They'll be here one day next week.

And here is a pic of the 3rd brake light. You can see the white part of the light is turning a brown/green color. I'l address this issue soon.

So yesterday my 4×6s came in the mail. I also ordered the towing mirrors. Then went to Amazon and ordered those 454 emblems. Next Friday I'll be ordering a air deflector from LMC and I'm going to the court house to buy me a B10 tag.
