Default Is this a factory or Firehawk-only interior option?

Was this a factory option, Firehawk-only option, or pieced together from two cars? I've never seen this combination in a 2000 & later f-body.

I knew that starting in 2000 all the f-bodies came with black dashes, A-pillars, t-top trim & center consoles, but the seat backs, door panels & carpet matched the leather. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

Seat/interior colors are all GM- nothing to do with the Firehawk option.

I assumed that the interior colors were GM spec....but this one had me a little curious. Thanks!

I've seen them come that way from the factory.... wasn't limited just to Firehawks, I have a friend with a WS6 that has an interior like that, and it's totally factory.

That does not look stock to me. The only unmodified interiors with Neutral that I have seen had mostly Neutral carpeting. Cargo wells were still dark though.

It wasn't an assembly line option, it was most likely a dealer-installed option. My '98 Formula was the exact opposite, it was all taupe and had dealer-installed gray leather seat skins and door panel inserts.

I got the premium leather on that car, but they had factory (paper thin, perforated) copies in any color as an option. You could have had the dealer install factory looking yellow seats if you wanted to.

I would be curious as to which RPO code is on the build decal of that car above, it probably has the Ebony leather interior listed on it.

That interior in the first pic was factory installed, I have seen a few 01-02 TAs with that interior on e-bay, Theres a red V6 at school I saw it on as well. I have only seen it on like the 01-02 cars though. Looks kinda cool, all the cars I have seen it on were all either black or red.

GM had some interesting interior options, I saw a white 95 TA with a really ugly dark red interior. On the other hand they had one option with the LT1 cars they should have kept, it was black interior with bright red leather surfaces on the seats and door pannels that looked really good.

Anyone who knows someone with the oddball interior in a car, lets see if they can help us solve this mystery. See if you can get them to take a photo of the RPO code decal in the driver's door jamb. Then we can see what the factory interior code is. We know the factory (assembly line) didn't deviate from the RPO codes, so if it has black or taupe interior on the decal, that means it was most likely changed after it left the assembly line. However, if it has some oddball RPO code there, we should document it.

A copy of the original window sticker would also prove what interior color the car came with from the factory, since those are generated by RPO codes too.

That is a factory 2002 Carmel with interior trim accents in Carmel & Ebony RPO code #673(directly from the 2002 Firebird brocher). Avaible on all 2002 Firebirds with a exterior color #10(Arctic White), 28(Navy Blue Metallic), 41(Black), 44(Maple Red Metallic), 71(Sunset Orange Metallic) & 81(Bright Red) I have seen a few 2002 T/A's & I know 1 person who has a 2002 NBM T/A Firehawk with this interior option. I looked at the Carmel interior before I ordered my 2002, yet I decided to keep my vert the same as I ordered my other 2.

Interesting info. I could tell that the leather in the pic I posted was darker than my taupe interior.

Like Tony mentioned, can anyone with this interior option snap a pic of their RPO decal?
