Well obviously you have to lift the engine out a little. Generally there is nothing to it but take your time. Might have to lossen stuff like exhaust. But one little note. I have been in several cars(including my own) that have poly mounts and they are very good, control torque well, are relatively stronger, look better, and resonably priced. Under no circumstance believe some that tells you they are smooth. They will cause extreme vibration, and generally make the car rough(espically motor mounts). That is because they are doing their job correctly. They are not used to quiet or make things smoother. They are used to control the high torque of modified motors where rubbers would be useless. When using anything poly, expect more noise, road noise, vibration, and shaking along with some discomfort while driving. If this does not bother you, then by all means get them, because they do work.

I have poly motor mounts, I installed them to keep my Y-pipe from banging. They worked, hasnt banged since I put them in.The vibration is barley noticable to me, Its really not bad. I heard the poly trans mount was alot worse. Here's a tip, do them when your putting your headers on. take out the stock manafoilds, then do the motor mounts. This will save you alot of grief, belive me. I didnt put mine on untill after my long tubes were on. It was a HUGE pain in the ***. The headers come down right next to the motor mounts. It shouldnt be hard at all with the manafoilds out. O and I just used a floor jack to raise the engine just a little. It didnt take much at all you just dont want the weight of the motor on the mounts when you trying to take them out. Hope this helps.

i put just one of them on my motor. i put it on the drivers side and left the factory rubber one on the passenger side. the mount keeps the motor very still. it almost dosn't torque over at all when you hit the throttle. it also kept my headers from hitting the k-member on hard launches on slicks. i really didn't notice any more vibrations, but my car shakes pretty bad all the time anyway, so i really couldn't tell you. i do know my motor dosn't shake anymore at idle

I got mine from thunder, great service. Also one thing I had to take mine back apart because i had the bolts going through the mount towards the motor and the tip of the bolt would hit the block when you try to bolt the mounts back on so make sure you insert the bolts with the head of the bolts towards the block. also make sure you have a grinder handy to grind the factory rivits off the mount that hold the clam shell together.

Just note that you don't just order these and bolt them in. You have to drill and break open the old mount and remove the rubber. I didn't have a drill press at the time so it was an excuse to buy one

The thing about the bolt is in the instructions if you read them

This is something I used to put my mount in. It is a writeup a member of the board posted. Whoever you are...thanks

I only installed the drivers side. I did it while the headers were being done. No banging and I have some really close spots. Make sure you have a good drill. Drill press is even better.
