I have a new forged and balanced 383 shortblock still in a boxed crate never fully opened yet...I was going to put in my 99 vette but sold my ride..When built Eric at HKE had it custom built and balanced for me..11.7/1 cr. $3,500..plus $135.00 shp. to lower 48...or pick up in Md. near DC..build sheet is listed below.I am NOT a mechanic, just a driver so i hope the buildsheet has all the info. needed.

Yes the mains are ARP studded...brand new LS1 alum block. u need app.62cc heads for 11.7/1 cr...and built for nitrous...It's a good build..Eric is the bestcall 1-800-321-1364 for Weisco customer service...All the parts are top of the line and balanced and ready for your cam....and oil pan

Just called Weisco and these pistons are the lightest LS piston on the shelf. at 391g...They are meant for nitrous and large boosted motors..To get 11.7/1cr u will need about a 62cc head per Keith at Weisco...a 70cc head will yield 10.5 cr......
