I have a rebuilt 4L60E , I am brand new to this type of work , I wanted to test what I could on this transmission before installing it , I was thinking that if the input shaft was turned in a CW rotation that the rear (lower ) shaft should turn , am I wrong ? thanks in advance my email is glenansue@outlook.com if needed feel free to reply .....

I believe you need fluid pressure to engage the clutches and what not to see any movement in the back.

The output shaft is only connected to the input shaft when clutches are applied. So no the output shaft will not turn when turning the input shaft.
