LT1 engine measurements, part numbers etc???
These engines have been out for a few years now and nobody seems to know very much about them yet, which is kind of sad honestly.
I've searched and searched for certain information and can't find it anywhere.
Has anyone been able to gather information on things like:
-Bore Spacing
-Crank rod/main journal diameters.
-Rod Length
-Wrist pin size
-Piston ring thickness
-accessory compatibility with gen 3/4.
-manifold compatibility with gen 3/4.
-head compatibility with gen 3/4.
-oil pan compatibility with gen 3/4.
-flexplate compatibility with gen 3/4.
-camshaft compatibility with gen 3/4 (assuming DI delete).

Also, part numbers for internals, specifically main rotating assembly components such as crank, rods, pistons. I haven't been able to find part numbers anywhere.

From what I've seen thus far, the rod and main journals are the same diameter as the Gen III/IV stuff. The tangs in the rod bearings are spaced further apart so they do not interchange. Other than the bearing tangs, the Gen V rods look just like the Gen IV floating pin rods. I'm not 100% sure but I think they share the same length and pin diameter.
The main bearings are the same except for the thrust. It's a different 3 piece welded design and has the tang located on the ther side of the housing bore, so it's not interchangeable. I actually just used the Gen V main bearings and a Gen III thrust bearing in a Gen III block build.
As for head compatibility, I've seen that the dowels for the heads are relocated to the top two outside holes instead of the lower holes like the Gen III/IV.

From what I've seen, the Gen 5 5.3 stuff continues to use the Gen 4 floating pin rods.
However, the LT1/LT4 are both said to have a 6.125" connecting rod with a .927" wrist pin. I'd love if someone could confirm this.

From what I can tell the Gen 5 LT4 rods are 6.125" with a .927 pin which makes them the same size as aftermarket gen 3/4 rods. They're also supposedly MUCH MUCH stronger than gen 4 rods. I've seen sets of them for $200 lately. I was going to use a set in a budget project I'm working on.

What gen3/4 stuff can be used on the gen 5 LT blocks?
So it looks like the LS crank, rods, pistons can all be swapped into and LT, correct?
Can the heads be swapped? only change is the dowels?
Timing cover is obviously different, but not sure what that affects, maybe timing set and oil pump? or sensors maybe?

I've been curious what parts could be swapped also, say from a gen3 to 5 block on a c5 etc. The gen 5 block is nicely supported around the cylinder vs the older aluminum blocks. You could just use the gen 5 heads and keep port injection also if you mad e a manifold or altered one.
