Default Gmt400 5.3 swap: 4l60e or 4l80e?

So, the 350 in my 95 c1500 is quite unhealthy. It does have a good 4l80e swapped in though that gas never missed a beat.
i bought an 05 1500 parts truck (2wd) with 90k on it with a good 4l60e.
the 95 is my daily that also pulls my miata on a demco car caddy tow dolly with a bedfull of spares and tools and camping gear to the track.
Im looking for mpg abd stone ax reliability. Part of me says to use as much factory and unmolested stuff from the 05 as I can as gm knew what they were doing. Other part says that since im going dbc and 411 pcm for cruise control, keep the 4l80e and never think about the trans again.

What would y'all recommend?

if you know the 80e is good, keep it. the transmission you know, is better than the transmission you think you know.

that, and by the time you futz around with the driveshaft, crossmember, and all the bits and bobs, its probably more work than you think to swap to the 60e.

Wire it in right and find a tune file, plenty out there that are segment swapped or run one from a factory 4L80E Vehicle and make the adjustments.

I swapped a 5.3/4L80e from a 4.3/4L60e in my 1999 Silverado. Pretty good setup. My truck also has 3.42 and is an extended cab 2wd.

Just order a flex plate from a 2500 (2000-2006) with the LQ4. It already has that little spacer. And get some linger bolts (don't recall the part number, but they are available at Amazon.)
