Default Turbo: Blanket or run NAKED ?

Plenty room under hood of Suburban.
Lots of air circulation.
Wrapped a bit of reflective heat shield around the Heater hoses, close to front of Passenger ex Manifold.
About 6 coats of VHT Ceramic paint on the Turbine.
Do I need to hide the Turbine under a blanket, or can I run through the streets NAKED ?
.
. For reference, my IAT stays very low highest logged so far is 59 degrees (F) , Last bend before throttle body is always COOL to the touch

whatever you want to do. But having a blanket over it should keep the underhood temps a little lower and not burn the paint on the hood right above it. the paint isn't going to hold up btw, especially with a blanket on it.

Always a good idea to limit under hood temps. Better for your wiring and everything under the hood. I buy cheap ones and coat it with BBQ grill paint to keep the fiberglass in. Also sheds water/oil when painted. In theory it will help keep the heat in the turbine, which will increase performance. (not that it would be noticeable IMO)

Even with my turbo blanket, the sheetmetal nearby and the hood get very warm. I would run one.
