PCM Hammer Won't connect

PCM Hammer Won't connect I have searched and can't find an answer. PCM Hammer keeps giving me a error message saying it can't connect. It is failing at the identify operating system it trys and fails asks me to enter the Operating System number which I do and it still fails out. Anyone got any ideas for me. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

It is a 5.3 out of a 2003 suburban and I have connected to it before. It sat for a while because I was going thru cancer treatment and now all of a sudden I can't read the PCM. I am using the OBSXPRO GT for interface. 12576106 is the os on tag of pcm. Voltage is good. Regular scanner reads fine.

This sounds like a hardware problem, something between your PC and PCM isn't doing its job. I'd start by double checking the wiring for power, ground, and communication.
If you click the "Get Properties" button I suspect you'll get an error message, and it might be helpful. But from the software's perspective, hardware problems generally all look the same: it can't communicate with the PCM.

Not sure I will try and get back to you. It will start and run with or without O2 sensors but takes a little pedal play to get it going. I am assuming that means I need to bump up my IAC a bit?
Now if I can just get into the PCM to do it...

Reason I ask if a normal scanner will connect is to determine if the problem is in the car or in your laptop connection.
I have encountered many problem with the OBD2 to Windows connection, whether with USB, WiFi or Bluetooth.
Many auto parts stores will perform a free scan for you.

How is your laptop connected to the OBD2 connector? Wired with USB, Wifi or Blue Tooth dongle? If dongle which one?

I think you mean the OBDXPRO-GT and cable to usb port on laptop. It has connected in the past and downloaded and modified bin files and reloaded them back to the PCM so it has to be something I screwed up on laptop I think. I just don't know what, because I really don't use it for much else.

Yeah, that's what I wanted to know. That's a good one, probably the best available right now.
If there is more than one COM port available in the settings window, try using each of them. Sometimes Windows will assign a different COM port to the same device, for reasons unknown.

Ran thru all the COM ports wired and bluetooth and still getting same error. Just figured out I am running on 4 cyl center two on pass side and inner two on drivers side. Related problem or indicator of known issue maybe?

Correction it is 1st and 3rd cyl on drivers side and middle two on pass side that are dead. Just broke my timing light pick up so can't tell you much more at the moment but it still runs on those other 4 cyl
