Oil Pump M10296 Fitment Help
Hi all, just wanted to confirm that my oil pump is sitting right. I’ve got a crow cams double chain equipped underneath my Melling 10296, I’m running the included spacers that came with the chain kit in order for the pump to clear the assembly but now the pump does not sit flush on the crank gear. Just wanted to confirm that this was due to the spacers and won’t be an issue.
Note: I’ve checked for pump being centred and can move the large gear in and out no problem 🙂
Make sure your crank damper can go all the way down into the pump gear and tighten against the little sleevie thing, so that it doesn't bind up the drive gear, which is supposed to "float" freely on the sleeve.
