Default Trans Am Gage bezel for camaro?

I've noticed some of ya'll are using the Trans Am bezel over your gages. Do those just sit in there, are they glued, or do they screw in somehow? How much does the bezel cost and is there any more parts required? I really like how the T/A's have that trim piece in the dash, it gives it some character so I thought I'd install that along with a custom made silver Z-28 and red bowtie emblem. Thanks!

They're held in by tabs but upon removal the tabs break. At least that's what tacreations told me. You can buy them from tacreations for $25

the tabs dont break why would anyone tell you that? any retard can figure it out its like an arrow head you just push down before you pull them away from the guages and then they snap back into place

It takes ONE mod... You PURPOSEFULLY break on of the tabs (top center) so it will sit flush.

I think there was confusion in the above posts around this installation fact .

I heard that the 97-98 clusters a little different... Will this affect the fit for the bezel from 99+ cars?

I have been looking to do this also. Where can one be purchased? I see tacreations. Anywhere else? Looking to do this to my 02 SS.

Thanks,
Mike

I called TA Creations yesterday, the guy was an ***. Said he'd sell me the whole instrument panel for $150.00 but couldn't sell just the Bezel. Like I need the whole damn dash to put this trim piece in my car. BTW, Dirtybird, I'll get with you tomorrow on yours so check your PM's. Thanks man.

the only thing different about the 99+ is that they aren't compatible with the PCMs in the 97-98 cars. They added the service vehicle light and moved some other stuff around. Nothing physical has changed so a gauge bezel from a 97 TA should fit a 02 camaro cluster

I put one on my 98 Z28 and I did not have to break a damn thing.

No center (or any) tabs were harmed during the install of this bezel:

That's weird cause the guy told me $25 for the bezel with broken tabs. Try calling again and talking to someone else.

We are talking about just the gage inlay bezel thing that you lucky T/A owners get and we didn't. It looks cool, better than nothing there at all.

Look around some. I believe there is a sweet 69' camaro with a Ebony T/A dash in it on this site or at least pic of it posted.

That looks real good but I like my chrome bezel. Here are some pics:

I had this out of the car so I could put red lights in the cluster. I like the look of the red back light like the Pontiac's have.
