Exclamation Interesting Read about SuperTech Oil..aka "WalMart Oil"

I'm going to start buying this stuff now instead, supposedly it is manufactured by Exxon Mobil.

No more pay 2-3 more bucks for a fancy colorful label for me.

Most oil these days is comparable to other brands...no one makes 'bad' oil anymore...they couldn't...they all have to pass a standard.

I just use Kendal these days. If you feel it in your hands kendal doesn't break down as quick as mobil. But,.. they work all just the same to me!

When he means feel it in your hands he can tell its a different consistency(viscosity).

Everyone used to say that Supertech was re bottled Quaker State, but i guess it was Exxon Mobil who made it.

,.. Don't get all but hurt there. You still knew what oil I was refering to regardless of missing an additional "L" at the end.

But no seriously,... about 3 weeks ago we where puting some Kendall in a motor to break it in and somehow we had the idea to feel the diff between the two oils. So, we cracked open a quart of Mobil 1 of the same weight. Ran kendal though our fingertips on one hand and Mobil on the other. After a few minutes the Kendal seemed like it was slipperier than the Mobil. It may sound rediculous but we all noticed the same frig'n thing.

And yes,... I have the magic touch! Just ask the girl I'm dating!

Most things in our economy are produced by the same few companies, but just because its made by the same company that makes another product (mobil one, exxon, etc) doesnt mean that its as good. They more than likely make this oil with different additives than the other oils that they make. Its like saying that the exxon superflow oil is the same as mobil 1. On another note, almost any conventional oil that passes the newest government ratings will be fine in most production cars today.

good point, it is true just like gas companies that have their own additives, but it being rated at a synthetic oil with a rating of API SM/GF-4 rating and is 10-11 dollars cheaper than mobil or syntec per gallon is more desirable to me
