Why was my signature edited?

Why was my signature edited? Ok, I think I know why. I had this in my signature : 
ACW said, "Animated images are not allowed in signatures (with the exception of small smileys)
It is a smily from Chicagoland Sportbikes. If it is on a smiley list, regardless of which site it is from, it should still be allowed. You're telling me these smileys are allowed, but mine isn't?
I have a few smileys for whoever edited my sig...
