went 6.15@113.9 mph last night at a no prep street night in the worst air ive ever ran in. Couldnt use the trans brake with out blowing the tires off should get my 5 second slip yet this year. The powerglide swap was definitely worth it.
That's getting it done. Badass!

Got a few 1/4 mile hits in last night, DA around 2500’. Converter for the powerglide is on the loose side still, 14-15% slip on the big end. 7650 rpm across the line. I’m happy with it, still got my goal of getting in to the 5’s in the 1/8 this year. It was tripping the 60’ beam with the rear tires, actual 60’ was probably closer to 1.24-1.25.

Our 96 camaro used to wheelie every pass too. If you can get a set of Menscer Shocks. It never leaves the ground now. You can get close to a tenth of that sixty. Whatever you do don't put travel limiters on there. With the Menscers, there is no need.

I bought viking warrior rear shocks this summer, and was planning on getting the viking front coil overs this winter, but may just get the better shock if it would help. thanks for the tip!
Your very welcome. We were a amazed on how good they work. After almost scraping the bumper and minimal carnage, we knew we had to do something. A huge factor with the Menscers is the after the sale customer service. If you do get a set they are very happy to help you get your car dialed in. They want you to be bragging about them. If at all possible, see if you can't sell the Vikings and get all 4 Menscers. You won't regret it. We had QA1's all around and we had the fronts cranked all the way up and they still wouldn't keep the front down. Now with the Menscers they are on the second setting from full loose for an example, and they don't ever leave the ground. I'm sure you may end up upping your power at some point, most do. If you do, you will be covered. You are definitely doing an great job with your car.

This is very interesting to me. No more power than my car makes and no faster than it is and I can't keep my front down and have been thinking about limiters to try to get a little more out of the 60. It's only pulling the wheels maybe 8-10 inches but that's still waisting energy. I have vikings set full tight on the front and viking on the rear set on 6-7. I would love to get it to leave without pulling the wheels at all.
Our motor dynoed 706hp and 616tq at the flywheel. On motor it would pull the wheels about the same 8-10. Spraying a 200 shot we left on 100 and ramped the other 100 in 2 seconds. That almost put it on the bumper. Lengthened the ramp on the second 100 to 3 seconds and it carried the tires 2 foot to the 100 foot, netting a 1.29 60. We had a lot left in it. We knew if we sprayed it more we would have been on the bumper again. Now with the Menscers we leave on 200 and ramp another 200 in 3 seconds netting a 1.19 60 at 3350 race weight. You want to control your front end rise not limit it on a stock style suspension. Our front comes up to the end of the stroke and stays there, but does not leave the ground and transfers all the weight onto the rear tires. Then you adjust the rears to keep them planted. If you just put limiters on, it won't allow the transfer and when it hits the limiters it will unload the rear tires. The best part was the guys at Menscer told us exactly what to expect and they are dead on. Can't say or thank them enough. They have guys putting down 1.04 sixties with these shocks. Hope this helps. Best of Luck to you guys. Thread Starter

Onebadbowtie is getting it done and you are too! Thanks for the advice! Wish I had bought a better shock set up to begin with now. I just thought at my level what I have would be good enough. I'm just never satisfied and try to squeeze a little more out of my car with out changing the engine at all. I still think I got some left in the 60. Congratulations to both of you and thanks again!
