Good luck 01-z. we will be battling it out for sure. You've got the weight advantage right now though.

Now you see why I never answered your PM with all of the questions on how we set up the nitrous on my car! How can we hold on to a record if we tell everyone exactly how to do it?

That type of info comes with a price tag!

Will you guys be doing this weighing over 3250lbs, with power steering, Stereo/CD, A/C still in the dash, Functional air bags, and a TRUE stock shortblock? Just wondering because if I were to remove all of these things I could have broken our own record.

We will be waiting anxiously to congradulate anyone who beats it, especially with stock cylinder heads.

Just curious... Why not a split cam since you're running so much nitrous?

Mike bought the h/c off one of our friends Leo on this board. Mike's Z28 shows if your willing to set up a car right even on a budget like that car was, you can make it run good. I think thats the best kind of shop car to ever have, not a full blown 8 sec monster. Its shows your customer your busting *** to make living and under stand not every one can come in on a unlimited budget to build a race car because just like you they got bills to pay and families to suport. For any one that wants to say Mike's car was a race car, I'll bet the title to my car that it was a street car just like Mike says, because I passed by it every day going to work.

Oh ..I forgot to add...

Crushing this record on a car that the heads have never been off,
stock intake manifold on less than a 200 shot.

Oh wait...I must be drunk.

My car is more like yours minus the AC compressor and condensor and PS. My car is still weighing in at 3400lbs or better. I was curious on how you pilled it really...Other than that my other question is how to get ahold of Circle D...Ive emailed them but no response. I gave you props on your car. I just wished i had more money right now to do the things i want to do with it. Instead its gonna be left up to what i can trade in and out of to get what i want.

Better be saving your money and looking for an engine builder. It will not stay together for long, but have fun while it does.

Maybe I should order a nitrous kit.

How much do they cost?
