Default 9.46 for Top Stock

I do not know if anyone in here follows IHRA Top Stock, but Monty Bogan, Jr. ran 9.46 in his 2001 Firebird last night at Rockingham. Real neat class if you ever have a chance to see them - big wheelies, stock appearing and nice mix of old muscle and new cars. I had a chance to take a real close look at these cars at the race in Cayuga and it is amazing how stock appearing these cars are and how fast they go with very restrictive rules.

I love the top stock cars of IHRA. Wish I had the money to run the class. Was 9.46 with an LS1?

I believe he is running an LS6 crate motor. He ran 9.45 during eliminations. They really are showing the potential of the LSx motors.
