I think he went high 6's and I wouldn't consider a Liberty and a M6 to be in the same class. Unless the M6 was maybe proshifted and had some wicked aftermarket internals.
IMO Taner is the man, shifting a M6 and using the clutch pedal every shift is very impresive.

mine never popped out of 4th, just 3rd a couple times
time to go face-plated 
The Liberty Equilizer in Millens car is clutch less. He only uses the clutch to launch. And taner the proshifting is nice but the faceplating is way better, and lasts 100 to 150 passes, and is also very streetable. You could do 1-4 and leave 5th and 6th stock.
