Default 9.471@143.22

I went 9.471 @143.22 on a 300 shot of nitrous. I have been waiting to post this due to that I could not find the time slip, I lost all my slips during a move.
The car goes mid 10's on motor this is the best that it went on NOS.
I'm running a twin wet nossel NX kit.
the motor is a 408 cast block GM 6.0lt head that is fully cnc ported and polished. I have a Ram street dual in the car now but when I made my run I had a Spec stage 3 clutch. The trans has all the good stuff in it form (t56 rebuilds) that I rebuilt myself. Cromemoly drive shaft made by a local shop, the engine was assembled by me it has a moser 12 bolt in the car when the run was made I had 3:73's and I now have 4:10's and the car is stock other than that. When I made the run I got kicked out of that racetrack for not having a roll cage or belts. Which I knew was going to happen I just didn't think it would have gone that fast. I have not made a run on NOS since because I son't want to put a cage in the car it is driven almost everyday.

Oh and don't put to much faith in it I had to change the clutch. It got chewed up pretty bad. I put just a plain jane clutch in the car for about a year till I could get what I wanted but ended up pulling before hand due to trany failure. good luck with yours.

n20armd,

congrats on the pass. now get a cage in it and go back for some more!
the lack of a cage is one way you keep it down in weight! ya got 200 pounds on me! shame you couldn't back it up with a better pass. is it safe to assume you at least have a 6 or 8 point cage?

you can post the vids in the video section heck if i can figure it out anyone can

MM,

far as i know am quickest...for now, not that it means $hit.

venom,

for what

to those rapin' gearboxes.

Thanks man!
I don't have any cage I have an low 8 sec Chevelle that I race on a regular basis.
I only built this car for some fun on the street and to drive everyday I don't plan on racing this car to much.
The one track I go to would probably let me get away with going that fast but only once or twice.
Plus I din't even consider that the time I posted would even be close to the fastest 6 speed record, hell when mighty mouse said it it caught me off guard.
Like I said before I didn't even think that the car would even come close to the 9s I figured mid 10s at the most.
But I'll take what I can get.

Lingenfelter hold the 6 speed record for the C5's.. Also a 9.4@151mph...

I am sorry, but you are going to have to back it up again b4 you can be awarded the 6 speed record. August of 2004 is a little old. I can give you 8 second slip from November 2006, but they do not belong to me. If you actually made this run you will have no problem backing it up again and getting this on video. The Spec 3 is the killer. Please prove me wrong.
