isnt it hard to pull the tops off with a 10 piont cage, I mean doesnt your bar go right along side the tops? do you still have the factroy radio with all the speakers and leather seats in your car?

Sounds like the beginning of another "whats a real street car" argument.

There is no correct answer. The best I've heard it summed up was this:

Its not a street car anymore if its more of a pain than a pleasure to drive.

Some guys don't mind crawling over a 10 point cage to drive a car with no A/C on a 100 degree day going 55 mph on the highway because the don't have OD. Some do mind and want all their comforts, which is fine too.

Not hard to pull the tops at all with the 10pt cage - Tyson did the bars with just enough space to get to the latches. I have an aftermarket radio, all teh speakers, and a sub box in the back between the rollbars - to hear it over my exhaust And yes, factory leather seats are in it and heat too.

I'm not tryin to start any debate over the issue either - just sayin I still like to drive it alot and it is fun to cruise in. It really all comes down to what makes the owner of the car happy - that is what is right for them!

Who says mine isnt a street car...?? I drive it rain or shine 200+ miles a week.
My A/C is gone because thats were my downpipe goes... id rather have it then A/C
I retain Heat also.... and bragging about full weight is
Taje weight out of the car to go faster without having to make more HP is smart..... The stock seats were nice.... but not so nice at 34lbs each....
My stereo's there... along with my 4 channel Amp in the hatch....

Its a debate that can go on forever.....
What truley is a street car.....alot of these car's can be driven on the street and are... its the milage that kills some... me with no O/D i get about 11.3mpg and i really dont care because i didnt buy these care to begin with for the mpg... and the whole 55mph thing isnt true....
i spin 200rpm higher at 70mph now then i did before with my A4 and 3.73's

im not bragging about full weight I am just stating an opinion about what makes a street car and in my opinion a true street car doesnt have a jungle gym that you have to crawl in and out of and have to strap a harness on that is illegal to use a seat belt, im not downing brett(black02) im just asking a question of daily driven streat cars, his car is a beast but I question the statement of driving it to the track on drag radials when the track is 5 minutes away from his house I guess the real debate would be everyones opinion of a true street car?

I also drive it to MIR, which is over an hour away. My side bars lift up and getting in and out is really no different than if I didn't have a cage. Not trying to debate any of this, cause it is all a matter of opinion. I enjoy driving my car and put quite a few miles on it every year - it makes me happy the way it is, and thats all that really matters when you come down to it.

IMO a street car is a car that is fast but you can take off and drive like on the Power Tour. JMO

NASTYTA - Don't you have a glide? Well ofcourse this is just an opinion, but a glide, 10pt CAGE!, no a/c, and ALUMINUM seats isn't a street car. You just happen to drive it there. I would like to ride in in though, maybe it's super tame cruising. That would be a real suprise, very nice car though.

I agree! Like drive it across country...not that you would but that you could.

ATRACR - I'd like some more info on your car, retain a/c? What wheel and tire set-up is that in the videos? Your car has a real nice stance.

Nothing better than pulling the t-tops off and pimping a 10-point! Love it! If it's legally registered and driven on the street it's a street car IMO.

370" iron block
TH400
12bolt

Doesnt have AC at the moment but I could put it in without a problem. We like to test cams so I just live with out the AC to make them easier, once I find the right one I'll put it back in.

325/50/15 M/T drag radial.
