can ported zl1 heds flow enough for a mild 565 Was going to re-do my 427. But I found a good deal on a pump gas 565 bbc short block.
Can I get away with runnung ported ZL-1/L-88 heads for a season or two, or will they not flow enough to run that many cubs? I know there good up to
500ci.
I figure I can run them for a year in till I can afford better ones.
114cc / 1.19 intake 1.88 exhaust / ported squair port
I think the springs are good for 600 lift.

My heads are a little better then those, larger valves and rectangular port and it will work for a 540 but thats about t to give you an idea.
They are the aluminum GM c-port heads.
A local builder has your heads on his 427 and its a nice street machine from what he says.

Listen to those with real life experience not guys who run for google when someone posts a question 
You should be fine to around 6500rpm then it will fall on it face in the upper RPM, they came with a 320cc runner and depending on the extent of the port work could be a bit larger. It will flat RIP on the street and make some serious torque numbers though its not the ideal head it WILL work just fine.
I have personally made over 1000hp (no not n/a) at the crank with a set of seriously ported 074's so you should have decent power until the upper rpms.....
This set made BIG POWER...
