95 454 oil cooler lines

95 454 oil cooler lines I am installing a 95 454 in a 81 chevy truck it has oil cooler lines coming out of the block by the oil filter . I am not going to use the cooler can I plug the holes in the block with pipe plugs or does the oil have to circulate to complete the oil lubrication no one seems to know?
