Default SBC ID help

Wondering if any of you guys can help me out with this one. I have a '79 C3 that has a later SBC that was put into it. The casting number is 14093638 which I found is a 350 from '86 to '94. But when I try to look up the engine code from the front to see what it came out of I can't seem to find it. That one is V1219TPA.

So I guess my question is if anyone knows what vehicle the suffix code TPA is from. Thanks!

I have a block with the same casting number. It's a 1992, two bolt, roller. And it had a TBI on it factory.

I haven't had much luck finding suffix codes for anything in the 90's or later.
Same with that TPA, can't find it.

TPA 92 350 Truck 210 L-05 TBI

That'll be a flat tappet engine, but MAY or MAY NOT be drilled and tapped for the hydraulic roller parts. There is also a possibility that it won't have the provisions for the roller parts.

The 1986 block is usually the only one not equipped with the roller provisions. I have yet to personally see a 87+ block that had all the spots where the provisions are but is not tapped out. I am sure they are out there but rare.

I have seen several 638 blocks that weren't tapped.

I had a 1990 block that didn't have the provisions for the spider tray/cam retainer.

I dug the block I have out, it has the same casting number and same suffix code as the OP's block and it was a factory roller, two bolt main TBI with 9.5:1 compression.
