yes but also if the aluminum is shitty it will be dirty and harder to weld when you hit dirt in aluminum while welding it blows it all over and sometimes doesnt stick real well

I didn't do the welding myself (any of my welding would be shitty!). I took the head somewhere. It sould have been a weld rod issue. It wasn't a big deal...It was just a hole into the pushrod opening. I pressed a sleeve in and went on my way. As I said, the heads worked great.

pro-comp heads are junk! as mentioned earlier stay away. save your money for a set of brodix IK 200s or AFR 195 Eliminators. Well worth the money.

AFR 195 Eliminators 100% for sure.

I have a set of 210's on my 383 in my 67... unbelievable. I have the comp cam 12-772. 248/254 at .05 with just over .600 lift. The thing is unbelievable 3500 stall. I have never been more impressed by heads they are awesome craftsmenship and all the ports are identical. I have some pictures if your interested.

Exactly!!! I made the #s in my sig with AFR 195s, 10.5:1 static compression, and a comp cams XE 284 hydraulic flat tappet cam. It peaked out around 5500 rpm too, so no need to spin the motor excessively high.

It just comes down to preffrence and money all!!! Pro Comp heads are nice. We have used them and have many customers using them. Sweet head. and The fully cnc 215 head is really nice. Those heads you see on ebay are the really old heads. back in 2006 and early 2007. We actully bought a few and tested them and did some machining on them and did the same on the new heads two differant kinds of alum. the old ones really soft. New ones I tell ya are nice. And we have put them through hell. No issues. I use pro comp heads and A.F.R heads. Both nice!!!

Same performance compared to Brodix or AFR ect? I think not, those heads advertise poor flow compared to the top name brands.

My buddy just had a 505 BBC stroker put together with some pro comp heads & the pro comp distributor & ignition box. I just shook my head bc I think its junk. Anyway, he gets a wierd misfire sometimes too & he cant figure out whats causing it. I suspect its that pro comp ignition box. I would rather spend a lil extra & get the good stuff, a lot less problems but you cant tell some people. Its actually cheaper to buy the top of the line because youre usually not ******* with it trying to get it to work. They just dont understand this.
