With a 5 liter chevy, there is nothing a 200 shot of nitrous cannot fix.

I just read what you posted and it reminded me of a buddy that did that with a 305 that he had edelbrock heads and comp cam 224 cam and a 200 shot. Man I can't tell you how many street races we won with that camaro. It was pulling down 11.70 at the track. Not that fast by any means but it hooked hard by not have enough torque to blow the tires away and thats where the race was won, at the starting line.

You can hook on the street but the trick doesn't involve more suspension work or the car at all.

Yes it was a stock block.

If you really want the HP to jump get a miniram intake. But you will lose your 2000rpm peak tq
Id save your money and get a Stealth Ram.

I sprayed a 200 shot on a 305 TBI for a year before it dies, and that was due to fuel pump failure.

Nope you are not even close. Get some vht trackbite and mix it 70% DENATURED ALCOHOL and 30% vht. That mixture is for when its cold outside. A 50/50 mi when its warm. The reason for more of the alcohol is for when its cold outside it will help evaporate the mix faster.

Position your car at the starting line and pour the mix in front of your rear tires. Roll into the mix and do a slow burn out so you won't throw the stuff everywhere, no John Force burnouts. Count to ten doing your slow burn out then lay into the pedal and roll it out past the starting line. Do not keep rolling forward because you will get dirt on the tires, so stop immediately and back up in the black marks you just made. Do not back up into the puddle you just poured or you will spin. With that you should have no problem hooking on the motor or the spray.

I have done this to mid 10 sec street car and it hooks spraying a 175 shot out the hole with stock suspension. I also had a low 9 sec nova pull the wheels on the street with the same stuff.

Some people set this mix on fire on the street but when you are trying to be low key from the cops you don't want to have a fire in the middle of the street so this is a better way.

The reason for denatured alcohol is that it has no water in it so it will mix better with the vht.

Thats a clean third gen. Back around 01-02 me and all my buddies had 3rd gens. I had a white 91 z 350 tpi, my cousin had a maroon 92z 350 tpi, my friend mike had a black 91z 350 tpi and my buddy kade had a 91 z 305 tpi. We all had them clean and it was different seeing them out at the meet up spot compared to all the lt1 and ls1 cars out there.
