Critique my setup - Engine Builders This is for my 85 cutlass I just purchased and will be used for street/strip duty. Mostly going to car shows and cruising around but will be taken to the strip a couple times a year.
1978 Truck 4-bolt main 350 block
Bored 30 over with Speed Pro Coated flat top pistons
moly rings
Stock rods and crank
Cloyes true roller timing set
standard oil pump
Patriot 195cc aluminum heads, 64cc combustion chambers - I may have these milled down to achieve 10:1 compression
Comp roller tip rockers
Comp Big ***** Thumpr #12-602-4 2500-6400 rpm
dur @ 50 243/257 lift .500 .486
Comp lifters
Pertronix Flamethrower HEI distributor
Either victor jr. intake or Edelbrock Air Gap intake, can't decide
750cfm Edelbrock carb with electric choke
Hedman mid length coated headers
Dual exhaust with X pipe and flowmasters
B&M holeshot 3000 RPM stall converter
Should this combo make 350 to the ground or better? My goal is 400 to the ground as this is a heavy *** car but I'm trying to keep in a budget. Recommendations?
