Need Help !!!!!! Rebuilt 350 I bought this 63 impala with a rebuilt 350(rebuilt about 2 years ago). When i test drove it the guy told me that the motor wasnt running right(missing real bad and back firing thru the carb). Once i got her home, i checked to make sure all of the wires were in the right order and changed the plugs. Once i took out the spark plug from the #3 cylinder, i realized that this might be my problem. The plug looked brand new and had gas on it!!! All of the other ones were dirty except for this one. I checked and the plug is getting spark. So its not the wires, cap, or plug, what could it be??

Timing could be 180 out. I've actually done this before. I thought I had it right and it started up but would backfire a lot. And I drove it and when I wasn't gettin it the motor seemed to run fine. But once I punched it it didn't have the power it should have had. Found out it was 180 out. It will backfire from the carb real bad. Hope this helps
