Ummmm.....thats not an injector making those thud sounds! Sounds like a rod or main bearing.

****. Would it be a rod or main bearing if it gets louder as he accelerates? I thought of rod knock but if there was more oil pressure when accelerating wouldn't it get quieter?

if its a pretty light tick, its probably lifters... as the oil warms up, it thins a bit giving less lubrication.

No its going to get louder since it either has a spun bearing. More oil pressure is not going to stop it from knocking.

So most likely a spun bearing? Can that happen at 91k even tho he like never beats on the car?

Yes it can happen. It could have been inferior oil. Since it only had 91k miles on it and the car is 20 years old it might have not been driven enough sometimes to reach operating temperature on some short drives and didn't get a chance to burn off some of the contaminates in the oil and that can possibly cause a spun bearing. There are many factors that could of made it do that.

Well' look at it this way its a good time to make an upgrade. I have seen zz4 crate motors from GM make tuned port vettes go 12.60 in the quarter on drag radials but you can build a nice motor that will make more power than that motor.

Pm me if you want to build a nice street motor. I can help you out on some parts selection. I just built one for my cousin for a 92 tuned port camaro and it went 11.91 on motor with 3.42 gears and a 2800 stall.
