what jet size are you using? so whats your set up and carb jet size are you using? Im running 383 with brodix track 1 heads and 750 dp I think I will use 72/72 jets because the old jets size's were 69/77 the whole thing was wrong so I need to know the best jet size for a stroker engine
THink i was running 86P and 74S on my last stroker. But every engine has its preference. It is not only the jetting, it is the acc pump cam lobe, the acc pump size, acc pump nozzle size, idle mixture. All these things work together to make an engine run like a symphony.
If it is a race car, you dont need the power valve, but a street car needs it for part throttle driving. I use a 8.5, but that is just a happy medium for some, i needed a 6.5 probably.

the cam is big ***** thumpr 243/257 533/519 107lsa I have 6.5 power valve and the blocker do you suggest that I use the power valve? my car is a weekend warrior that wont see more than 30 miles a week

is 6.5 enough? it had 6.5 before but the carb wont idle and rev like its a brand new I mean I bought it brand new and when I put the carb on it starts to backfires,hesitate,sputters all kind of bad things and it was tuned by a pro thats where he changed the jets to 69/77 and I really dont know why he choosed those two numbers but I will use the same jet sizes for primary and secondary,one thing I noticed when I was using the same carb if I tight the acc pump and let the throttle opens 1/4 then sprays fuel it runs like a champ but as soon as it sprays fuel it starts to hesitate and backfires any idea what was the problem with it? I got the quick kit right now and I found small washers where are they located in the carb? I tried to see the diaghram that the package has but no use

air bleed sizes also affect fuel flow so that is a factor in the tune. I don't know my sizes off hand but this is a 750cfm bore size on a 396 sbc.
