I'll probably be at Mundelein a bit also.
Hopefully I'll see you there.

I'm using a K&N air cleaner assembly with a 2 inch filter. I need every bit of room to fit under my 3" SS hood. It's not 100% perfect since the top of the cleaner makes a little bit of contact with the hood but it's as close as its going to get with out a new hood.
The carb hat spacer I got needed alot of work when I recieved it. I had to grind alot of Aluminum off it to get it to fit but now that I did it fits like a glove.
I might end up getting a new hood if VFN will make me a larger SS hood. Something like a 4" or 5" but I don't know If they'd do something like that so we'll see. I may just end up changing the intake/carb setup after I get some numbers.
I'll probably hold of with the rest of the interior until spring. Plans are for a stock interior with Speed inc.'s light weight carpet. I already cut up a A4 center console and fitted that to my Cheetah shifter so the only hard work left is to lay the carpet.

The air cleaner setup I said work did not. So I scraped that whole setup. I bought a 3" velocity stack setup from summit and laid the filter right on top of the carb flange. This worked perfectly with room to spare under the hood and a larger filter element.
Since I've had nothing better to do latley I decided to start on the carpet. What a pain that is. Here's a link to my post about my carpet work in the drag section.

I had to cut the upper radiator support to fit it in and I removed the lower support completely. I had a new tubular lower support welded in because I did not care for the look of the stock support. Plus mine was starting to rust just a little bit.
I actually just brought the car home today and my trailer is a little to high so we had to get creative with wood planks under the ramps to get the headers to clear. It was very close.
I have not had it on the street yet so I'm actually waiting to see how cool/hot it runs on the street as well. I'm guessing I'm going to need to run another fan cause I only have a real high flow 12" right now. Most have said you can use Flex-a-lite dual 12" but it did not fit like people had mentioned so I went to a single puller for now. I probably will have a single 12" and 10" by spring but we'll see. If ya have any questions feel free to PM I'm on here fairly often.

For what I put in this car I could have bought a new camaro, but the fun I had building this was worth the price and the expirence alone was worth the price tag. My advice to any one wanting to do a swap like this is:
Get the BMR conversion K-member. It makes life easier and gives you a lot more room in the compartment for headers.
